BPSC ATPS 2026: Exam Pattern

(a) Examination Paper:
For the selection of Assistant Town Planner, only one technical paper – Town Planning will be conducted.

(b) Exam Pattern:

• Duration: 2 hours

• Total Questions: 125

• Maximum Marks: 125

• Question Type: Objective Multiple Choice

(c) Qualifying Marks:

• No negative marking for wrong answers.

• As per Government rules (Notification No. 2374 dated 16.07.2007 and Notification dated 01.10.2008):

  • General Category: 40% minimum qualifying marks

  • Backward Class: 36.5%

  • Extremely Backward Class: 34%

  • SC/ST, Women, and PwD Candidates: 32%

Note:

1. Detailed syllabus will be available on the Commission’s website: www.bpsc.bihar.gov.in

2. No provision of re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheets.

3. Candidates will have to upload self-attested copies of all certificates/mark sheets along with the online application. Claims without proof will not be accepted later.

Merit List:

• Prepared on the basis of written examination results only.

• Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks will be included in the merit list according to category-wise reservation.

• The merit list will be used for the final selection process.
