• Candidates must possess a Graduation degree (including Honors or Pass Course) from a recognized university in any one of the following subjects: Commerce, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics. Additionally, individuals holding degrees such as MBA (Finance), CA, ICWA, or CS are also eligible to apply for this position.

BPSC Auditor 2026 Exam Pattern/ Syllabus

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Preliminary Examination, Written Examination, and Interview. Candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination will be invited to apply separately for the Written Competitive Examination. Discrepancies between the information provided in the preliminary and written applications may lead to disqualification.

1. Preliminary Examination

• Subject: General Studies, consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions.

• Duration & Marks: The exam will last 2 hours and carry a total of 150 marks.

• Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  1. General Category: 40%

  2. Backward Class (BC): 36.5%

  3. Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 34%

  4. SC/ST, Women, and Disabled candidates: 32%

2. Written Examination

The written examination consists of three subjects, including two mandatory subjects and one optional subject:

• Note: General Hindi is a qualifying subject requiring a minimum of 30 marks, but these marks will not be counted toward the final merit list.

• Syllabus: The syllabus for all subjects is the same as the Combined Competitive Examination and is available at www.bpsc.bih.ar.gov.in.

3. Interview and Final Selection

• Interview: Conducted for 120 marks.

• Candidate Selection: The number of candidates called for the interview will be approximately $2 \frac{1}{2}$ times the number of vacancies based on written exam scores.

• Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks of the Written Examination and the Interview.

• Tie-Breaking: In case of a tie in total marks, the candidate with higher marks in the written exam will be ranked higher. If those are also equal, seniority in age will be considered, followed by alphabetical order in the Devanagari script.

• Revaluation: There is no provision for revaluation in this recruitment process.
