Education Qualification
(i) A candidate must possess an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Indian university approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC), as specified under the Bihar and Odisha Medical Act, 1916.
If the degree is obtained from a foreign university, the candidate must have completed a 4-year MBBS course along with a 1-year internship. The candidate must also pass the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by MCI. The degree will be considered valid for regular medical service posts only if recognized by MCI.
(ii) Training and Registration:
The candidate must have completed a 12-month compulsory rotating internship from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India and the government. It is mandatory to have a permanent registration with the Medical Council, irrespective of the reason.
- Dentist:
(i) A degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from an Indian university recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) or possessing qualifications equivalent thereto, as specified under the Bihar and Odisha Medical Act, 1916.
"If the degree is obtained from a foreign university, the candidate must have completed 4 years of BDS study along with 1 year of internship, and must have passed the Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) conducted by NBEMS. Only after passing this examination will the qualification be considered equivalent to Indian Dental qualifications for the post of Dentist."
(ii) Training and Registration:
The candidate must be registered with the Dental Council of India or any State Government-recognized Dental Council. Temporary registration will not be valid under any circumstances.
- Dresser:
(i) Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
(ii) Must have passed Certificate in Medical Dressers (C.M.D) from an institution recognized by the Central Government, Bihar State Government, or any other State Government, and must possess the related certificate.
- Pharmacist:
(i) Must have passed Intermediate / 10+2 (Science).
(ii) Must have passed all parts (I, II, and III) of the Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution recognized by the government and possess the related certificate.
(iii) The candidate must be registered with the Bihar Pharmacy Council.
Note: Candidates who have completed B. Pharma and M. Pharma must also hold a D. Pharma qualification.

Application Fees & Age Criteria:
General/BC/EBC/EWS candidates and all other state applicants need to pay Rs. 600. However, SC/ST/EBC and all female candidates from Bihar enjoy a reduced fee of Rs. 150. Payments can be made via credit/debit card or net banking.
Age limits vary by post. Pharmacist and Dresser positions require a minimum age of 18, while GMO and Dentists must be at least 21. Maximum age limits also apply, with relaxations for reserved categories. It's crucial to refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation information.
Educational Qualifications: Meeting the Requirements
GMOs require an MBBS degree from an MCI/NMC-recognized institution, a 12-month compulsory internship, and permanent Medical Council registration. Foreign degree holders must pass the FMGE.
For Dentist roles, a BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution is mandatory. Foreign degree holders need to pass the FDST. Registration with the Dental Council of India is also essential.
Dresser applicants require matriculation and a Certificate in Medical Dressers (CMD).
Pharmacist candidates must have passed 10+2 (Science) and a Diploma in Pharmacy, with registration at the Bihar Pharmacy Council. Notably, B.Pharma and M.Pharma holders must also possess a D.Pharma qualification.
