BTSC Tutor 2025: Pay Scale & Mode of Selection

• Pay Scale: Unrevised Pay Scale - 9300-34800 and Grade Pay - 4800. In the 7th Revised Pay Structure, Pay Level-8.
• Selection Process: The Commission will select candidates based on a written competitive examination and work experience.

BTSC Tutor 2025: Examination Syllabus

• (a) The question paper for the competitive examination will consist of a total of 100 questions. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Objective (MCQ) type. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages.

• (b) The duration of the examination will be two hours (2 hours), and the total marks will be 100.

• (c) Questions will be asked based on the B.Sc (Nursing) level syllabus prescribed by the indenting department. This syllabus will be published separately on the Commission's website.

• (d) The said examination will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test in one or more shifts/days. The examination results will be prepared by adopting the process of Normalization.

• (e) Negative Marking will be applied for incorrect answers. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

• (f) The Normalization process will be applied to the results of all candidates based on the said examination.

• (g) As per Resolution No. 2374 dated 16.07.2007 of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Bihar, and Resolution No. 962 dated 22.01.2024 of the General Administration Department, Bihar, it is mandatory for candidates to obtain the following minimum qualifying marks in the written examination:

  • General Category: 40%

  • Backward Class: 36.5%

  • Extremely Backward Class: 34%

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe, Women, and Persons with Disabilities (Divyang): 32%

  Note: No claim by any candidate will be entertained if they fail to obtain the minimum qualifying marks as per their category in the competitive examination.

(iii) Work Experience:

Only candidates who qualify (pass) the written competitive examination will receive the benefit of work experience. The Work Experience Certificate (in the prescribed column) must be issued by the Superintendent/Director of Civil Surgeon, Medical College and Hospital, and Super Specialty Hospitals/Institutions. Claims for work experience will not be entertained if not in the application. The validity period for work experience will be up to 04.07.2025.

(iv) Work Experience Certificate Format:

The format (Proforma) for the Work Experience Certificate is attached as Appendix-1. This format must be used to claim marks and age relaxation for work experience. No marks or age relaxation for work experience will be given if the certificate is submitted in any other format.

(v) Document Verification:

As per rules, candidates who qualify (pass) the written competitive examination will be invited for Document Verification (DV) as per the merit list prepared under clause 5(i) of the advertisement.

BTSC Tutor 2025 : Important Instructions for Uploading Documents in the Online Application

Candidates are required to upload the following certificates/mark-sheets pertaining to their qualification, reservation, and work experience:

Required Documents:

• (i) Matriculation Certificate: Original 10th-grade certificate.

• (ii) Nursing Qualification Certificates: Mark-sheet and Original Certificate/Provisional Certificate for M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic), or Diploma in Nursing Education and Administration (D.N.E.A) from a recognized institution.

• (iii) Bihar Nurses Registration Certificate: Valid registration certificate from the Bihar Nurses Registration Council.

• (iv) Indian Nursing Council Suitability Certificate: For institutions located outside Bihar State, a "Suitability" certificate from the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, for the candidate's specific session.

• (v) Caste/Category Certificate: Caste Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Certificate, as applicable.

• (vi) Domicile/Residence Certificate: Proof of domicile or permanent residence.

• (vii) Freedom Fighter Descendant Certificate: Certificate for grandchildren/great-grandchildren of freedom fighters from Bihar State (if applicable).

• (viii) Disability Certificate: For Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), if applicable.

• (ix) Work Experience Certificate: In the prescribed format (if applicable).

Important Uploading Guidelines:

• Ensure that all relevant information is correctly entered in the online application, and then upload each corresponding certificate/mark-sheet in the designated column.

• Failure to upload any required certificate/mark-sheet will lead to the cancellation of candidature. The commission reserves the right to take such action.

Validity of Documents:

• All uploaded certificates/mark-sheets must be valid and correspond to the information declared by the candidate in their original online application.

• It is mandatory to accurately provide the issue date and issuing authority for all certificates/mark-sheets in the online application.

• All certificates/mark-sheets must have been issued on or before August 1, 2025.
