Essential Qualifications

You must have one of the following:

• A Senior Secondary degree with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• A Senior Secondary degree with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE regulations, 2002).

• A Senior Secondary degree with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

• A Senior Secondary degree with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

• A Graduation degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Other Requirements

You must also have:

• Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

• Passed Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English at the Secondary level.

Notes

• Relaxation: A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is given to candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, or PH).

• Age Relaxation: A one-time age relaxation is available for certain Contract/Guest Teachers.

• Discretion: Qualifications may be relaxed for well-qualified candidates at the discretion of the DSSSB/Competent Authority.

• Section-A: 20 marks each 💯

  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning 🧠

  3. Arithmetical & Numerical Ability ➕

  5. Hindi Language & Comprehension 🇮🇳 (100 Questions : 100 Marks)

• Section-B: MCQs of one mark each based on NCTE curriculum (including teaching methodology required for the post) 📚 (100 Questions : 100 Marks)

Notes 📝

• The questions in the examination will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers, which will be in the language concerned only. 🌐

• DSSSB reserves the right to change/amend the examination scheme, if required, anytime before the examination. ⚠️

• The minimum qualifying marks for the written examination (objective) are given in a sub-para iv of para 6 below. 📊

• For all Technical/Teaching posts:

  • In One Tier (Technical & Teaching) Examination Scheme, the mandatory minimum qualifying marks will be applicable only in the domain subject-specific i.e., Section-B, and there will not be any minimum qualifying marks in Section-A. However, combined marks of both Section-A and Section-B will be reckoned for preparing the final merit list. 🎯

• There is no provision of re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts in respect of the examinations conducted by DSSSB. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. 🚫

• The DSSSB reserves the right to cancel/withdraw/delete any question/question(s) from the Question Paper and the marks scored shall be prorated out of the maximum marks. 📑

• Negative Marking will be applicable and a deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). ❌

• Skill Test / Endurance Test / Driving Test / Trade Test will be taken as per requirement of job. 🛠️
