Jharkhand B.Ed 2026 Education Qualification

• Candidates with at least 50% marks (or 45% in the case of SC/ST/OBC, PwD, and other reserved categories) either in their Bachelor's Degree and/or in their Master's Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities / Commerce, OR Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics securing 55% marks (or 50% in the case of SC/ST/OBC, PwD, and other reserved categories), or any other equivalent qualification, are eligible for consideration for admission to B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. courses. For admission to M.Ed., the minimum qualification shall be B.Ed.
• The candidate shall choose only one subject (within a subject category) which they must have studied in the qualifying degree (i.e., Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree). In this subject, they must have secured at least 50% marks out of a minimum of 200 marks. This subject will henceforth be referred to as the teaching subject in the B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. course.
• There is no restriction on the passing year for applying to the B.Ed. / M.Ed. / B.P.Ed. course.
• Students in the final year of their Bachelor's / Master's programme shall also be eligible to apply for B.Ed. admission. However, their candidature shall be subject to the submission of the final result at the time of admission and meeting the percentage marks criteria mentioned in clause 1 above.

📋 How to Apply JCECEB Jharkhand BEd Entrance Exam 2026 Online Form

1. Visit the official website jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in or the dedicated B.Ed entrance portal/link provided in the notification.
2. Click on the “Jharkhand B.Ed./M.Ed./B.P.Ed Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 – Apply Online” or similar registration link.
3. Register by entering your name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, and create a password (you will receive a registration number via SMS/Email).
4. Log in with your credentials and fill in the application form with personal details, address, category, educational qualifications, and other required information.
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and necessary documents in the specified format and size.
6. Pay the application fee online (via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI, etc.) – General: ₹1000, BC-I/BC-II (Jharkhand only): ₹750 (check exact fee in official notice; exemptions may apply for certain categories).

Jharkhand BEd Entrance Exam 2026 Pattern/ Syllabus

The Combined Competitive Examination consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and carries a total of 100 marks. Each correct answer awards 1 mark, while 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response (negative marking applies).

The examination is divided into the following three sections:

1. Language Proficiency (30 Questions – 30 Marks)

This section comprises 15 questions in Hindi and 15 questions in English. It assesses candidates' command over both languages through questions focused on the following key areas:

• Reading comprehension
• Rearranging sentences / sentence sequencing
• Filling in the blanks with appropriate words
• Identifying errors in sentence parts
• Finding equivalent meanings for given phrases / idioms
• Completing incomplete sentences with suitable words
• Grammar-related topics, including synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases, prepositions, tenses, articles, and other fundamental rules

2. Teaching Aptitude (40 Questions – 40 Marks)

This section evaluates the candidate's suitability for the teaching profession and includes questions on the following specific domains:

• Attitude towards education, children, and the teaching profession
• Interest in teaching as a career
• Leadership qualities and group management skills
• Emotional and social adjustment
• Intrapersonal and interpersonal skills
• General awareness of contemporary issues related to school education

3. Reasoning Ability (30 Questions – 30 Marks)

This section tests logical and analytical thinking abilities through questions covering both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Key topics include:

• Verbal and non-verbal reasoning
• Missing numbers and number series
• Letter series and alphabet-based problems
• Theme detection / finding the odd one out
• Jumbling / rearrangement of elements
• Analogy
• Arranging statements in sequential / logical order
• Statement and conclusion
• Syllogism
• Logical problems / puzzles
• Establishing relationships (blood relations, coding-decoding, etc.)
• Basic numerical ability
