RBI Assistant 2026: Pay Scale & Mode of Selection

• Pay Scale: Starting Basic Pay: ₹20,700 per month. ,  Initial Gross Emoluments: Approximately ₹47,849 (excluding HRA)., House Rent Allowance (HRA): An additional 15% of Pay is provided if bank accommodation is not used. , Maximum Basic Pay: ₹55,700 per month (plus applicable allowances).
• Selection Process: Selection on the basis of Pre Exam, Mains Exam & Language Proficiency Test.

RBI Assistant 2026: Document Required to be Uploaded 

• Live Photograph Capture : In addition to the above photograph, candidates will also be required to capture and upload their live photograph either by using webcam or mobile phone.
• Scanned Photograph:- 20kb-50 kb, JPEG/JPG Format, 4.5×3.5 cm) Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
• Scanned Signature:- 10kb-20kb, JPEG/JPG format, 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
• Left Thumb Impression:- 20kb-50 kb, JPEG/JPG Format (240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)
• Hand-written declaration Image:- 50-100 kb, JPEG/JPG Format, 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality)
  i.e. 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)
• A hand written declaration stated as
• “I, __________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

2. Look for the “Recruitment for the Post of Assistant – 2026” or “RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026” link under Vacancies / Opportunities section.
3. Click on “New Registration” or “Apply Online” and complete the registration by entering basic details like Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Date of Birth.
4. Log in with the generated Registration Number / Provisional ID and Password, then fill the online application form with personal, educational, category, and other required details.
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other documents (as specified in the notification).
6. Pay the application fee online (if applicable: General/OBC ≈ ₹450–850; SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen exempted or nominal) and submit the form.
7. Download and print the final application confirmation / e-receipt for future reference.
