• Mode of Selection: Selection on the Basis of Online Test, Screening and Interview.

SBI CBO Recruitment 2026: Selection Procedure

The selection process consists of Online Test, Screening, and Interview.

(a) Online Test: Online Test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

(i) Objective Test:
Duration: 2 hours | Total Marks: 120
The test consists of the following four sections:

(ii) Descriptive Test:
Duration: 30 minutes | Total Marks: 50
It will include Letter Writing and Essay. Minimum qualifying marks must be scored as decided by the Bank.

Penalty for Wrong Answers: No penalty for wrong answers in the Objective Test.
Sectional Marks: Sectional marks will not be maintained for the Online Exam.

(b) Screening:
Applications of candidates who qualified the Online Exam will be screened for experience by the Committee. If experience does not match the required job profile, the application will be rejected. No correspondence in this matter will be entertained. Shortlisted candidates (up to 3 times the number of vacancies) will be called for interview.

(c) Interview:
Total Marks: 50. Minimum qualifying marks will be set by the Bank. Candidates must qualify to be considered for final selection.

(d) Final Selection:
Based on qualifying in both Online Test and Interview. Final merit list will be prepared based on:
- Online Test (scaled to 75 marks)
- Interview (scaled to 25 marks)
Total = 100 marks

(e) Local Language Proficiency Test:
Candidates should be proficient in the local language of the applied Circle. Those who fail the test will not be appointed. Exemption is allowed for candidates with proof of local language study in class 10 or 12.

Result Publication:
Results will be available on the Bank’s website.

Guidelines for scanning the documents, photograph & signature:

2. Look for the link titled “Recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) 2026” or “Current Openings” and click on it.
3. Register yourself by providing basic details (if new user) or log in using your Registration Number / User ID and Password / Date of Birth.
4. Fill in the online application form carefully with personal, educational, experience, and other required details. Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, and relevant documents (as specified in the notification).
5. Pay the application fee online (if applicable, as per category) and submit the form. Download and print the completed application form and e-receipt for future reference.
