SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern / Syllabus
Exam Pattern
1. Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination
- Type of Questions: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for candidates eligible for scribe).
- Total Marks: 100.
- Number of Questions: 100.
Sections and Marks:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 25 questions, 25 marks.
- General Awareness: 25 questions, 25 marks.
- Numerical Aptitude: 25 questions, 25 marks.
- English Language: 25 questions, 25 marks.
Note: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
2. Tier-II: Descriptive Paper
- Type of Questions: Pen-and-paper based.
- Duration: 30 minutes.
- Total Marks: 50.
Sections:
- Letter Writing: 25 marks.
- Essay Writing: 25 marks.
Note: Tier-II is only qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in Tier-II will not be counted for the final merit.

3. Numerical Aptitude

- Algebra: Basic algebraic operations.
