Physical Standards:

For the Post of Deputy Superintendent of Police

According to the provisions mentioned in Appendix–"Kha" of the Uttarakhand Police Service Rules, 2009, the following physical standards are prescribed:

(c) Physical Weight (For Female Candidates Only): Minimum 45 kilograms

For recruitment in Uttarakhand Police Service, a candidate must have at least 6/6 vision in one eye and not less than 6/9 in the other. The candidate must be capable of performing duties without glasses or contact lenses, and should have proper color vision. There should be no cataract or any other eye-related issues.

In addition, candidates must be free from flat feet, knock knees, pigeon chest, dwarfism, varicose veins, hammertoes, deformities, or any mental/physical disability that may interfere with police duties.

If there is any doubt regarding physical conditions, the candidate must present a certificate from a government medical officer. All physical standards must be verified by the Police Department and certified by the Superintendent of Police.

Pay Scale & Mode of Selection

• Pay Scale:  Rs. 35,400–1,12,400/- (Level-6) to Rs. 56,100–1,77,500/- (Level-10)
• Mode of Selection: Selection on the Basis of Pre Exam, Mains Exam & Interview.
