(a) Served in the Territorial Army for 2 years; or
(b) Obtained a 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps.
2 Lecturer (Male/Female) - History

(i) PG in Ancient/Medieval/Modern History from a recognized University.
(ii) B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.

3 Lecturer (Male/Female) - Biology (i) PG in Botany or Zoology from a recognized University.
(ii) B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.		 Same as above
4 Lecturer (Male/Female) - Hindi (i) PG in Hindi from recognized University and Graduation in Arts with Sanskrit as a subject.
(ii) B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.		 Same as above
5 Lecturer (Male/Female) - Urdu (i) PG in Urdu from recognized University.
(ii) B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.		 Same as above
6 Lecturer (Male/Female) - Sanskrit (i) PG in Sanskrit from recognized University.
(ii) B.Ed. degree recognized by NCTE.		 Same as above
7 Lecturer - Sparsh Inter College for Visually Handicapped (Subjects: Sociology, Economics, Civics, English, History, Hindi, Sanskrit) (i) PG degree in concerned subject from a recognized University.
(ii) B.Ed. with Special B.Ed. or M.Ed. in Visual/Hearing Impairment recognized by RCI.
(iii) Knowledge of Braille/Sign Language.
(iv) RCI Registration as a special educator.		 Same as above
8 Lecturer in Psychology (UP Jail Training School) (a) Master's in Psychology with paper in Criminal Psychology; OR
(b) Master's in Psychology + Diploma in Criminology; OR
(c) Master's in Psychology with paper in M.A. level Social Pathology/Social Disorganization/Criminology Dissertation.		 (1) Doctorate in subject.
(2) Good knowledge of Hindi.
(3) Same as general preference above.
9 Lecturer in Criminology and Penology (UP Jail Training School) Master's in Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, or Psychology, with at least one full paper in:
(a) Sociology/Social Pathology/Social Psychology/Social Anthropology
(b) Criminology and Penology or Criminal Psychology		 (1) Doctorate in subject.
(2) Good knowledge of Hindi.

The detailed advertisement for this examination will be available from 12.08.2025 on the Commission’s website https://uppsc.up.nic.in, containing information about the online application process, fee payment procedure, exam plan & syllabus, caste certificate formats, reservation, and age relaxation details.

  2. Vacancy Details – 1518 Total posts:

    • Lecturer (Male) Government Inter Colleges – 777 Posts

    • Lecturer (Female) Government Inter Colleges – 694 posts

    • Lecturer, Visually Impaired in Government Inter College/Integrated Special Secondary School – 43 posts

    • Lecturer, Uttar Pradesh Jail Training School (Instructor Grade) – 2 Posts
      Note: Number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirements.

  3. Educational Qualification – As mentioned in point no. 8 “Educational Qualification” of the detailed advertisement.

  4. Age Limit – Candidates should be 21 to 40 years as on 01.07.2025 (born between 02.07.1985 and 01.07.2004). Age relaxation will be applicable as per government rules. For Divyangjan (PwD), the maximum age limit is 55 years.

  5. Application Dates –

    • Start of online application: 12.08.2025

    • Last date for online application submission: 12.09.2025

    • Last date for correction/fee reconciliation: 19.09.2025

  6. One Time Registration (OTR) – It is mandatory for candidates to complete OTR before applying. Only OTR-registered candidates will be able to submit the application form.
